Set against the beautiful backdrop that is the Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, Bass & Baskets Bed and Breakfast is the perfect getaway for rest and relaxation.
The idea for our inn first came to us in 1998 while over-nighting in Dresden, Ohio. We were staying in a small bed and breakfast and promptly fell in love with it. The idea of accommodating others and welcoming them into your home was very interesting to us. We soon decided this was something we could do in our retirement – and so our inn was born.
Several months later, we found ourselves holding the key to a small cottage we purchased at Lake of the Ozarks. We named our new venture Bass & Baskets – the “bass” came from a love for fishing and “baskets” from an affinity for collecting Longaberger Baskets®. We opened the doors to our recently revived cottage-turned-inn in 2001.
Today, we are one of the most well-regarded inns in the business. While we’ve won several industry awards, our finest accomplishment is the smile or hug from a guest at their departure.
